A look into Jessica's life

you can tell its summer...i've been lagging on this thing. during the year i was always updating. well we start school next week so maybe i'll update it more often.

well here goes my 2 weeks of A LOT of stuff...so bear with me..

august 9 2003...hahah i was saying it to myself and i felt like i was on diary on mtv..you think you know..but you have no idea..haha i'm a dork.
well if you look at the entry below this you'll see that's when i last blogged. but that was in the morning. in the afternoon we had a family party down in southside. it was kimberly dedicatoria's daughter Kayla's first bday. she is so adorable. so anyway..here's my story
- i pull up to inang's house and see uncle jonny making a uturn in the drive way..in my mind i'm thinking "GODDAMN IT did inang call a bunch of people again to drive her to the same fricken place." so i go inside and inang is upstairs. so i go upstairs to question her and it turns out that he doesn't know how to get to kim's house so he's there to follow me. ok fine. i'll let that one slide. so i start heading downstairs and realize that the edging on some of the steps are falling off. they just put in the wood floor. what the hell is that. so i wait on the stairs til inang comes down. she finally does and i ask her about it..you know what her fucking answer was..."it's cause you are too big" WTF!!!!!!!!!!! so i get pissed, rightfully so, and tell her that's it i'm leaving. she asks me if i'm not going to kim's and i tell her why should i. she says that uncle jonny doesn't know how to get there and give him directions. and i'm yelling now..why should i? why should i help you and be nice to you if you are gonna make fun of me?..uncle jonny is just in the other room kinda looking but trying not to look. inang gives that uncomfortable giggle and says she's just joking. WTF!! i already knew that i was going down there cause the other cousins were gonna be there so i tell her i'm going still. so i tell lolo to get in the car and he TELLS me that inang is gonna ride with uncle jonny. that's fine with me. so when inang tries to get in my car lolo hollers at her that she's to ride with uncle jonny. hahahah.. so she goes into uncle jonny's van. it's hot as hell and uncle's a/c broke down as he was driving to inangs.hah...so we start heading down there and there is traffic on the 805 by the 8 merge. something happened and they have traffic at a complete standstill. i didn't even see any fire trucks or ambulance or anything. hmmm.. so anyway i veer off onto the 8 and take the 5 to the 54 to the 805. it's a roundabout long ass way but it got us there. and uncle jonny drives so damn slow. AAUUGGGHH!!! well we finally get there. as soon as i get in i see quinn and john sitting there so i relay my story about inang to them. damn i was pissed. kinda still am. anyhoo. so we eat and stuff. it's cool. it's me, quinn, john, and marc there. then mellvin and mae come. we've decided that mae's name is no longer mellfeena mae..it's michelline mae..like the tires..cause she has soo many rolls like the michelline man. hah. she's a cutie. one of kim and lesley's friends i went to jr high with. and i recognized her. so kim approached and told her. and she claimed to remember me. of course i doubted it. but then she said that we were in band together. i remembered her from her being in asb. i completely forgot that she was a tall flag in marching band with me til she said we were in band together. ok..christina diaz does know me..hehe. so that was cool. later on i was telling auntie azon and auntie tita my story about inang and i said it really loud cause inang was sitting off to the side with the other lolas..hahah. dumbass. marc was being his goober self with the little kids. it was funny. i have pictures of marc as the new Jack in the Box. ahah. we finally got quinn to drink. although the cousin had to beg and plead and still come up empty handed tatang just handed her a cup of arbor mist and told her to drink it and that was it. i got a picture of it too. it was a cool trip to southside.

the cousins went to the abitria's house for rich's bday and stuff. it was cool. some of rich's friends were there like chris oleas and kimson bui...kimson is still a fucker...eric and lynn were there too. april and ron went as well. it was cool just hanging out and stuff. dayam though. auntie virgie and uncle baby fricken had lobster for everyone. it was good. only the abitria's meng. we went down memory lane a lot though. we were going through cousin's yearbooks and photo albums. we were exchanging stories past and present about people in the pictures and stuff. jason josefat and jason abueg were both there. it was good to see them. jay abueg looks exactly the same as he did when he graduated. dang. we played pool too. that was fun. i swear matt is a pool shark meng. hah. it was fun though.

and the family inking begins...we get a call that the papers are signed and the inking will begin. we head down to pb and see some of the work in progress. that is just straight trippy. at least it's a unique design and something self designed instead of some staple that many people have already. looks painful. maybe one day i'll get inked..who knows. i'm too much of a wimp..hahha.

talk about a trip down memory lane. talked to lyssa ceniza today, twice. haha. i miss her and her being retarded. she found me on friendster and we both wrote testimonials for eachother just highlighting our misadventures. mainly lyssa's misadventures. she called me from work and we talked and reminisced and stuff. but there was/is the burning question...Why did i call her Yoshi?!?...so i began my hunt for her old letters hoping to get to the bottom of that mystery. as i searched i came across some letters that have her saying "oh my yoshi" that's the only thing i could find. so i called her at night and she called me back cause she was in class. so she called me on her drive home from san jose to daly city..that's just way too long for an education..free or not. and we reminisced so more and yet never really getting to the bottom of the yoshi mystery. oh well. it will eventually come to us..damn it

august 16, 2003
interesting day i must say. the plan is to go up to murrieta for drake's 3rd bday at chuck e cheese. mom and i were gonna bring mellvin and jasmine. well at 10 am when i told mellany to drop off the kids all she has is mellvin. kuya james thought it would be too far to take jasmine without any help. that's fine. so we eventually start heading up there. yeah it's quite a drive. mellvin is eating candy from kayla's bday. 5 minutes away from our destination mellvin falls asleep. nice timing kiddo. it's not til we get to chuck e cheese and wake him up that we realize he fell asleep with candy in his mouth so he drooled sticky stuff. yuk. anyhoo. we go inside and find eileen and we go to the tables. we arrive right before the food does. nice timing. hah. mellvin sits with us and not the kids. he's too quiet anyways. while we are eating cousin and uncle baby arrive and not long after kim and kayla arrive. the staff and chuck e cheese come out to dance YMCA and call the kids to dance with them. so we take mellvin up there and the boy knows how. all the other kids are just jumping up and down and such and mellvin is spelling out the letters. hah. so then when they take the group pictures with drake and his lil guests and chuck e cheese mellvin goes over there but is very solemn. hmm. so then we go and start playing games. mellvin starts playing some ticket games and stuff. we find the light game that jac is pro on at d&b. so then mom and i get hooked on it. so mom stays at that game earning mellvin tickets while i take him around. at one point mellvin suddenly bolts and starts heading back to the tables from across the restaurant and i'm following him trying to figure out what the hell is going on. he runs up to the stage and starts dancing again. he heard the music for YMCA from across the restaurant and wanted to dance. hah. this time all it was were staff and chuck no kids this time except for mellvin in the corner dancing. what a cutie. so we return to the game room and now cousin is assisting and earning tickets for mellvin. after all is said and done mellvin had 1547 tickets. dang. and wouldn't you know it the one thing he wants most is "the brown playdoh" which only costs 150 tickets. oh man it took forever. finally mom and i started picking things for him. he like what we chose though. and in the middle he says he wants cotton candy. and forgets about the toys he needs to choose. we got it for him though. afterwards we went to eileen's house. it was the first time my mom got to see eileen's house. so we were all there. the kids were playing and kim was chasing kayla all around the house. haha. mellvin was having fun with the other kids and drake. the adults: me, mom, and cousin; were a little bored so when my mom went out for a smoke i had her get the scrabble from the car. so then we played. it was fun. mom was having trouble then uncle baby came up and helped her. he found stuff that my mom didn't even see. hah. that was cool. i don't think i've ever played scrabble with my mom before. ahha. so then we went home and as soon..i mean literally as my wheels touched the freeway from eileen's house mellvin was out cold. so we got home and jac took mellvin to the couch. he continued to sleep for a while. then we woke up and he wanted to play with his playdoh. so he did that for a bit. then jac took him outside and played with his sidewalk chalk. he can write a lot of stuff already. he's a smart kid..and he's gonna start school in a week now..sniff sniff :'( .. well from him sitting on the floor and chalk we had to give him a bath. that was a chore. he's afraid of my parents tub as it is. and then he's afraid of having water go up his nose and soap in his eyes. so it took a long time for him to really get in the bath. but eventually he did and jac made sure he didn't get any water up his nose and soap in eyes. after his bath we all went out to dinner at little tokyo. he tried to use the chopsticks that are rubberbanded together for easy use but had problems. that's ok he's only 4. but he fell in love with the tempura batter and sauce. hah. after we ate we drove down to chula vista to mellvin's new home. mellany and rommel were moving today from university heights to chula vista. their detached home is pretty spacious compared to their apt. it's nice. they actually have room to walk around in the kitchen. there are 2 bedrooms now where as in the apt it was a 1 bedroom apt. not good for 4 people. so that's cool. then we went home.

august 19, 2003
jac, menchie and i go to la mesa to get money from nana for jac's books. so we go to nana's house and jac talks to nana as they write the check. menchie and i start comparing notes about marching band and stuff. i was on drumline and she was on color guard. we both agreed we kinda miss those days. so then we go to the wells fargo and cash jac's check then go to the panda express that's right outside. hadn't had panda express in a while. afterwards we go to kb books by state and they have absolute NONE of the cal state books. piece of shit. so we decide to go to parkway plaza since we are in the area. menchie wanted to by a pair of converse from journeys. so we go. interesting mall. we ended up going past the store but in a roundabout kinda way and yet we didn't make and turns. go figure. so we finally got to journeys and menchie was able to get her shoes. so then we started walking around the mall. i found beige and blue samoas (adidas) but they were like 60 bucks. and i really don't have no 60 bucks to blow. oh well.

begins our pb week. we go down for pricing of tats for the rest of the fam. some places are ridiculous. something so fricken tiny and charges a hundred bucks..what the hell?!? find some cool things at atomic. go home.

august 21, 2003
for spanish all we had were conferences. so marc, kristina and i go down to pb for breakfast. stupid people. we have them split our bill. there are only 3 of and 2 are on the same bill. we go to pay and kristina goes up first. the chick somehow rang in my bill instead of kristina's and didn't even realize it. so when i go to pay she can't pull up my half cause it's already been done. so she goes and finds the manager. the manager tries working on it..in the process does the exact same thing. after all is said and done..there are 5 transactions on kristina's account because of it. good lord. so then we go to atomic to shop again.

afterwards i head up to san marcos and cousin comes with me to get my parking permit and books. we run into kristina there. while i'm there i'm suppose to pick up the rfu from our apss mailbox and take it to event planning. that is a pain in the ass cause i didn't know where event planning was and no one gave me specific enough directions to get there til like 30 minutes later. AAUUGGHH!! meng..my books suck. most of them are NEW they are new editions so there aren't any used. damn research major. afterwards we drop off cousin's application at wells fargo so she can earn some money before she goes to florida. we then decide to go to the carlsbad mall. i really want those beige and blue samoas. but i'm not gonna pay no 60 bucks like i find it at other stores. so we go to the adidas outlet and sure enough they have my shoes. and lo and behold they are only 40 bucks. hell yeah. so i try them on and cousin really likes how they look on my and especially since they don't have baby blue in them. so then we walk around and we go into the puma store. i found a nice grey zip up in the clearance rack. that only cost me 20 bucks. i was a happy camper. after a little more window shopping we head back to her place. she makes us mac and cheeeeeessseee. no dude..she added a lot of extra cheese to this. the cheese always had extra strands when you pulled it out of the bowl. we also had vienna sausages and chips and salsa. we went up stairs and watched newleyweds with nick lachey and jessica simpson. damn she is spoiled. she couldn't do shit. not even clean up spilled water right. damn. then we watched 3 musketeers on hbo. i had never seen it. it was a good movie. then i came home and slept. was a fun filled day.

august 22, 2003
spanish final...GODDAMN IT!!! i fucking bombed the final. i had As and Bs on my exams and get a fricken D on my final. WTF!!!!!! auggghh. so anyway. viet, anh, dave, marc, kris and i go to applebee's for lunch to celebrate the end of our summer school and spanish. it was good. i had the popcorn shrimp and fries. and i cleared my plate. i ate everything. what is up with that. i don't usually finish my food. and when we went to denny's yesterday i cleared my plate also. hmm...
later that night we return to pb to continue the family inking. so now 3 down and 1 more to go. that 1 more isn't me. i asked matt to design mine but even if he does i don't know if i'll ever have the guts to get it done. oh well. it was a quick nite there.

august 23, 2003
we have em em's 7th bday party in mira mesa. we go. food was cool. we got quinn to taste the margarita wine coolers that uncle emman gave us. matt had his beer. there was an astro jump and for some reason the kids all got out so the big kids : john, quinn, marc, kristina, matt, and jac went in. they were slamming into the walls and stuff. it was funny to watch them. then came the pinata. theirs had no only candy but money. after the pinata marc, matt and john started shooting the basketball but betting on shots. then uncle tony got in the fun. him against marc, then john. haha. he was giving them a run for their money too. haha. that was fun to watch. then we ate ice cream cake. complete boredom set in so me, jac, john and quinn went back to the house. john and jac were on the computers and quinn asked to see my cd collection to find some old school songs. we started playing some abba and stuff too. then we played the grease 2 soundtrack a bit.hah. quinn conked out. she was tired from orientation the past 3 days, got home late from orientation last night then had to get up early for cotillion practice. ironically right after they left they started playing grease on tv. hah.

august 24, 2003
started trying to clean up my room and closet. i was able to empty my closet into 2 huge trashbags. i had clothes and like 12 purses that i got rid of. dang. then kristina came over and we hung out here while we waited for tim, jeff and jac to get out of their movie. then matt came over and while we waited for them we started playing word twist online. when the 3 came back all 6 of us were playing. that's funny. so then the 6 of us went to pb. we ate dinner at cotijan's. that was ok. then we went to sinbad's cafe - a hookah bar. at first i didn't plan on smoking anything. i was quite content with my smirnoff triple black. then tim had me try it. it wasn't that bad at all. it's not like a cigarette. so i finished it off with them. i also ordered a mango tango bubble tea. that was good. me and kristina like it. there was no alcohol in it. afterwards we went back to the house. jeff and tim went home. then marc, tony, sean and arnell came over and they drank up. i had another triple black. we played gin and black jack first. then marc and matt came to the table and jac brought out the chips and the 3 of them played texas hold em. haha. matt ended up losing first. then last hand we did an all or nothing for marc and jac but blind. i was the dealer so i just dealt the cards and and flipped them over to see who won and it was marc. he had a full house i believe. hah. so then everyone left. and i went to bed.

other random stuff.
been chatting with annie while she's in vietnam. she's really homesick but i know she'll get used to it. she better, she's there for 4 months. she really misses dat and is scared. but she needs to concentrate on what's happening in vietnam with her than keep thinking of california. it's all good though. she just got there so of course she's gonna be hesitant.

apss..we've been having meetings all month. we are trying to put together a small show that we originally intended for september but because of conflicts with other orgs and stuff we are gonna have in october. so we are busy working on that, the car wash that we are having in late september and just getting organized for the upcoming year. what the hell did i get myself into? oh well. it looks good on a resume'. whatever.

upcoming plans
on thursday gonna go up to pasadena and pick up cathy and christine academia and they are gonna spend the weekend with us. go out and have fun our final week of summer. this saturday we are gonna have a bbq and hang out with friends and cousins. should be a good week. just need to finish cleaning up my room and stuff. not much left since i threw most of it out. hah.

wow it's been almost a month since i last blogged. well obviously a lot has happened but it's been so long that i'm not going to chronicle it like normal. i'll give ya the abridge version. hah

this has been a real cool summer. although i spent a lot of time just hanging at home and in my room staring into 1 of 2 monitors (tv, and 2 computers) i've also gone out. can you believe it, i've gone out. haha. i think the fun started when the family went to castro valley for cathy's cotillion. that was a fun weekend, which i already blogged about. but since then i've done stuff.

first we had mae's baptism party here. that was cool. the cousins were all chillin in the rooms. it was kinda funny cause it ended up that the younger cousins were in my room and the older cousins were in jac's room. how did that happen?!? hah. we played taboo. that was fun trying to get everyone in the room to figure it out. then later on john, quinn, kristina and i played scrabble. heh..fricken john the cheater. he was going onto the laptop to find out if the letters he had could form words..dork..haha.

then we had auntie marie's bday. again the cousins were hanging together. we were playing scrabble again. this time it was kristina, me, nicole and john/juni team. what the hell is that?!? again john is the cheater..hehe..if it wasn't for juni, john wouldn't have gotten shit..but juni busted out a 66 pt entry. damn you..dork

a couple of days later cathy came down for the panan reunion and stayed here at our house. she arrive on the wednesday before and we chilled the whole 5 days she was here. the first night she got here we took her to dinner at hunans. it was dad, jac, me, cathy, marc, kristina, and matt. that's a lot of people. but we had fun. after dinner we went to arnell's and hung out there for a bit with the guys. then we went home. but we were all playing games on addictinggames.com. so we were all competing with eachother. haha. we took cathy to eat or everyone came over and chilled here. it was just a layed back thing but it was fun. i took cathy with me on a necessary evil...shopping at vien dong with inang. i'm glad she was there with me i would have gone bonkers...hey cathy, want a huge ass crab just chillin on the floor? haha. after shopping one night we met up with cousin and we introduced carne asada fries to cathy. hahahahha...jac and i took cathy down to clairemont to morning glory and green tea house for some boba. that was fun. then her last night here tim, jeff, and i took cathy to boomers and we played miniture golf. damn you cathy and your hole in ones. first fricken hole too. dayam. that was fun.

we had the panan reunion dance and picnic. the prep was interesting. i still had to buy a dress and so it was me, cat, cheryl, matt, marc, and kristina all shopping. i was able to find a dress but it kinda showed some cleavage. and we were talking about it when matt started to walk like a fag and started asking us "do you like my titties?" but the voice he used and the strut he was doing was just hilarious. well the night of the dance was ok. we took cousin pictures and stuff like we did in castro valley except this time we had some of the bay area cousins in it, like cat, caz, and stephan (or should i say the john clone). after the dance all the kids bailed and went to kristina's open pad for our own reunion..ahah. we played scrabble again. this time it was quinn, cat, me and caz/neil. at least this time that team was just alternating cause of the liquid flowing..haha..if you were there you know what i mean. hey neil "what is WHAT?" hahahah youngin'. quinn and cathy: just take a damn sip meng..that's all i asked for. sheesh!!!. then we had the picnic. that was fun. all the cousins playing ghetto volleyball in our small ass court and jeff and keen (i think that was his name) as nets. i never knew you could actually pull off a real game of volleyball in a court that was 17 feet long and about 26 feet wide on both sides. and have teams of about 8/9 people on each side. what the hell?!? it's all good though. fun as hell.

then there was jeff's 22nd bday dinner at rock bottom. we were just being dorks. as always. having fun with jeff's digital camera. and tim making him mini movie at the table with jeff's camera. afterwards mom, marc, ryan, and i went to barona. that was fun. marc and i hit up the let it ride table. there was a cool guy there that explained to us. that was cool. your odds are better and you can win really big but lose really small too. so marc started playing first. then i got into it. and dayam wouldn't you know it. from the get go of one the hands i already had a pair of 10s and a 7. so i stayed from there cause i already knew that i won for the 10s or better. by the end though i ended with a full house cause the dealer had 2 7s. damn i won 250 bucks on that hand. that was cool.

then rich came in town for some leave. hung out with him and cousin a bit. on tuesday, jeff and i met them up at dave and busters. that was cool. ran into gary aranas there. saw lynn deleon and eric estaban again after how many years. cousin double fisting her drinks..but how the hell did i end up the one finishing them. after d&b rich, jeff and i went to inang where marc, matt, and jac and their friends were drinking up. hung out there for awhile. that was cool. then on thursday matt had an open pad bbq and the family hit up again. this time we were able to get rich, cy (who is in town from hawaii for harpoon school) and princess (who is in town for drs appt and registration) together for the first time in 4 years. dang. so that was cool. we were all drinking and singing kareoke and stuff. marc....dude..stick a fork in him he's done. it's funny how the younger cousins are hanging out with the younger siblings of the people the older cousins knew in high school. hahah. last night i went downtown with cousin and rich. we went to star bar and met up with some of their friends. that was interesting. all the waitresses are asian. and some looked like they were old enough to be our aunties and shit..what the hell is that. then rich, cory, cousin and i went to e street alley and met up with eric and lynn. i had never been there so it was interesting to see what everyone is always talking about. the dance floors were pretty big and stuff. but i spent the whole time people watching. i'm kinda glad i don't go clubbing anymore. there were just too many damn asians there. all the girls looked the same and all the guys looked the same. guys were walking around in flocks staring at the girls who were walking around in flocks and yet neither of them would ever approach eachother. dumbasses. we went into the trance room and there were these asian girls. their clothes were extremely tight and shit..but when you looked at their faces you are like "DAYAM GINA!!!!" they looked like the aunties across the street at star bar. oh damn. i told cousin that if i ever look that old and want to go clubbing still to just shoot me. there was this one guy he was just having a good ol' time on his own. that's cool. there was this short buff asian dude wearing sunglasses. he was trying to rave kinda but meng..you can't rave while doing a kick ball change step. then his girl turned around and she looked as old as the girls i just mentioned about. and he's a young guys. all i can do is shake my head. damn. there was one older white guy in the trance room that was just standing outside of the dance floor just bobbing with the music. he was alot older. i think he worked there but it was just cool cause he was just people watching and enjoying the music. kinda reminded me of lolo..how lolo will just kinda bob with music and stuff. hah. well since that place wasn't all that it was cracked up to be rich, cousin and i headed to matt's were the cousins were chillin again. on the drive to albertos then to matt's cousin was drunk dialing. and she was so gone that she drunk dialed one friend twice and when she drunk dialed jaclyn she didn't even remember that she had talked to jaclyn earlier when we were leaving the club cause i was on the phone with her. she was a little gone. i was a little buzzing but i think it was more because i was drinking and hadn't eaten dinner. my drink list..@ star bar..mojo that chris bought me: that shit was strong and i really didn't like it, luckily for me i found a fly in it so i didn't have to drink it. so then rich took it back to the bar to change it up and cousin ordered a t*(sorry i can't remember the name) tea. that shit was stronger than the first drink. sshe said that it was mixed too strong. so cory got me a midori sour and cousin finished my tea. then at e street i had 2 malibu bay breezes. so i had my fruity weak ass drinks. hehe. just like i like them. so when i got to matt's i ate my carne asada burrito then i was fine. it was a cool night. i got to hang out with rich. i had never gone out like that with him so that was cool. the last 2 times that i have gone clubbing have been with cousins. so that's cool.

this week i've been on "recording" duty. dat phan was competing on NBC's Last Comic Standing. that guy is funny. i can't believe he still remembers me. but that's cool. well he won the competition so now he's in developing stages with NBC to have a sitcom and he'll have a comedy central special next year. YAYEE DAT!!! well since quan and han have been with him in vegas for the competition finale, then quan had to work and han has been in la with dat for his guest appearances i've been setting up the vcr to record his guest spots as he finishes them. as soon as they know he's gonna be on a show han calls and i set the vcr. so i have dat's first couple of days of being a certified celebrity on tape. haha. you go guy..CONGRATS!!!

well the rest of summer has just been school..damn spanish and work. when at home i'm usually stuck on addictinggames.com or friendster. i'm addicted to friendster. it's a cool concept though. you can find old and new friends that have profiles on there and add them to your list. and then you can see how many people you are connected because of your friends and your friends friends and so and so on. i mean i have like 74 people that i know on my list then i'm connected to like 378171 people because of it. it's kinda scary that i can be connected to that many people indirectly though. haha.
