A look into Jessica's life

yesterday was fun. cousin came over after work and after she stuffed her face with my chips and the steak my dad made us for dinner we began our journey to visit princess. first we went to vons/wells fargo to bring auntie virgie dinner...all because she happened to call while we eating and cousin wanted to say hi to her mom on the phone. so jac headed to hallmark and cousin and i went to vons. after cousin gave her mom her dinner she went to cheryl u's window and deposited something. i talked to auntie virgie telling her about my dad's planned trip to philippines and princess' condition. i also saw gerard there and congratulated him on being the first male winner of a binibining competition. i asked if he got any prizes and he said that he gets an all expense paid trip to canada to compete over there. it's cool he won and all but that's cheap..no $$ or anything. ah..filipinos..what can i say. so after our wells fargo chats cousin and i started looking at flowers for princess. we finally picked purple glitter covered daisy mums. they were cool. so then we headed next door to hallmark to meet up with jac. we started looking at precious moments figures. after about 10 minutes we finally chose one a cute one that says "familys fur ever" so she knew we would always be there for her. so then we made our journey to southside. so we get there and papa nick is smoking outside. so we say hello and go in. we go into the kitchen and auntie chaning is talking to auntie edna while feeding ms ellie and the jacob and loli are painting. princess is in the back room with rachel and joyce and don don. so we go and say hi to princess. it was just the most fun, most kick back 3 hours that i've had in a long time. for a bit we talked about her cancer and stuff but we were just cracking up, watching the kids be kids, and just having fun. at one point we started playing dress up with ms ellie since joey has this thing about ms ellie always matching and being all dressed up, even with no place to go. so princess, jac, rachel and cousin were going through ms ellie's clothes and finding things that they liked and put them on her whether or not they matched. then joyce remembered she had a disposable camera upstairs and was taking pictures of ms ellie. it was sooo cute. then we all went back into the back room and were talking and playing with the kids when we noticed that don don had a thing for cousin's boobs. he would just straight look at them. he would come up and hug cousin just so he could place his face in her cleavage. it was the funniest thing. poor joyce, she was getting all embarrassed about it. princess started taking pictures of don don being fascinated by cousin's cleavage. i can't wait til joyce develops the film and we can see these pictures. poor princess..she was laughing sooo much and so hard her abdomine was hurting where she had surgery. we would have stayed longer if i hadn't had to work this morning at 3am. but it's all good. after what was happening last night i'm hoping that we can get everyone here when my dad's in philippines to just hang out and just have a cousin's day/night. i'm sure it would be fun and memorable.

today was a lot calmer. when i went to work as soon as we started emptying out receiving the pain in my back started to return. i am trying to recover from the whole driving and tv moving incidents from the weekend..then yesterday kyrsten (flow team manager) had me doing bulk..which means that i'm suppose to put on pallets all the stuff that is coming in mass quantities. basically thats one thing you really don't want to be doing when your back is in pain. we even were cracking jokes that we would find out how healed my back was...i really didn't feel the effects of bulk til this morning. after we emptied the room i was in pain. i was getting sharp burning pains. not cool. i ended up sitting down leaning up against one of the clothing tables and jaime (supervisor) saw me and asked me if i was comfortable. when i told him no..he found out that kyrsten had me doing bulk. even as i was about to leave this morning he was still expressing his disbelief that she had me doing bulk knowing that i had already hurt my back..kinda funny. oh well..at least i don't work til monday..yayee!!

i don't get things in life...i mean this past year has been hell on my family. we have had a long string of deaths since great nana passed in early september. it started with her, then lola shanang, then nanay fabia, then nana kika, then grammy, then bobby, then tito augusto and now greg today. greg passed away due to an allergic reaction after surgery. if memory serves us right he's not even 40yrs old yet. i grew up with him and sisters in san ysidro. when i called my mom to tell her she was afraid that he was one of the helo personnel that passed away recently in kuwait. i forgot he was a reservist.

before that i was chatting online with princess. she had just come back from the doctors. it turned out that the mass they removed from her ovary was cancerous. so now everyone is in emotion turmoil because no one knows how to handle this. they are now awaiting the 2nd pathology report to see how much cancer she had and to what stage it is at. then her treatment will be determined from that point. she is only 23 years old and now her life is on hold because who knows what's gonna happen. she's unable to finish her nursing program..and she was suppose to finish in may. who knows if she'll ever be able to have children again..if she'll even have what's needed to even get pregnant after all this. it's a good thing that she's young and she's strong. one good thing is that she already has lorelei so at least she has a child before all this. WHAT THE FUCK??????????????????????????? there is no reason why someone that young needs to endure something like this. i just don't get it.
well everyone is lost for words, emotions and thoughts. i wanna cry but i really can't. you can hear it in my voice and my mom's voice but it's just like ...what do i do..what can i do..and unfortunately the answer is nothing... when things happen like this i wonder what is the point of being optimistic that life will be a breeze..who knows

cousin and i headed down to visit princess in the hospital. she looks better. she was up and around..to the bathroom but hey it's up isn't it....so we hung out there for awhile.

happy 4 yr anniversary Jac and Arnell!!!
well i took inang and lolo to southside to go to the swapmeet. when we were leaving mira mesa inang said that i'm gonna take lolo to san ysidro while she shops. again i ask if she made sure someone was gonna be there...take a wild guess what the answer was...since marc and kristina were there they tried calling to see if uncle tony was home and he wasn't. and as i was driving down i was calling them, and again no answer. so when we get there at the swapmeet inang says just to wait for her. so we all go in. she tells me and lolo to stay near the entrance/exit area and she'll go to get her material. so we are walking around and lolo says he has to go to the bathroom..mind you this is clear on the other side of the swapmeet. the whole point of us staying in the entrance/exit area was so that lolo would wear himself out. so we head for the bathroom and he does his business. when he gets out he asks for his chest pain medicine. so he takes that and we head back to the entrance/exit. by the time we get there his back is already killing him and there is no place for him to sit down and rest his back. awhile later inang comes back so we leave. on our way home we head up to hospital to visit princess since we are in the area. princess was up and around on her own. she didn't have any IV or anything connected to her. she was eating solid food now. she's hoping to be discharged tomorrow. we had to leave early because lolo's back was hurting even more. so we went home.

thursday 2/20
ali comes over to work on her web site. i am actually enjoying tormenting her. i have a bunch of pictures of her and her and jon and posted them on her site disregarding how much she contested..mauahahha. but i did make her a deal that if she gets me other pictures of her and jon then i'll change them out. it's all good though. after that i went to samahan clinic to pick up inang and lolo from their doctor's appt. when i got there inang said that we have to take lolo to the emergency room. he was having chest pain and yet his ekg was showing nothing. so i called mom and told her what was going on. she then told uncle mon and called my dad. so we take lolo to the emergency room. they can't seem to find anything yet. my dad arrives around 6-ish. so he goes into the er room with lolo and inang comes out. i stick around waiting for uncle mon and auntie marie to stay with inang. but then inang asks me when i'm going home because she's not feeling good. so i call my dad and tell him that we are leaving. he says that they are waiting for the cadiologist who is suppose to arrive around 830-ish. so he was gonna stay with him. so i took inang home. i went and got their prescriptions at sav-on then went home. they decide to admit lolo. still can't find the source or his chest pain.

friday 2/21
so i'm sleeping and it's around 9am and inang calls asking if lolo was released.. i tell her no and that they will call her if he does. so then i roll over and fall back to sleep. well my mind gets the better of me because i wake up later thinking that inang called and said that they released lolo. so i get up and get dress and go to inang's house. inang asks me what i'm doing there and we realize i dreamt the release dream. so i take her to the hospital to see lolo anyway. he's back in cardio icu. so we only stay there for about 30 minutes. the nurse says that lolo is ok and that his back is still hurting and she was massaging it for him. they were scheduling a stress test for him later in the afternoon but under sedation to see if they can find what's wrong with him. we all think that his chest pain is related to his back pain. if his back doesn't hurt then he's fine..but when his back hurts his chest hurts. but we'll see.
around 230pm jac and i start heading to fullerton/brea to visit matt before we headed to usc to help out jude and eileen with their dental exam. it was a long drive. of course part of it was that we were in traffic in certain areas but we got to matt in about 2 hours. while we were on the 57 north we saw a black crx crash into the back of a purple van. we heard the screeching and the crunching metal...not a lovely sound at all. but by the time we got to matt's my lower back was killing me. so we go to red lobster up there. matt wasn't sure where he was going. we went to the brea mall. as we are driving around matt finds out that there is another portion of the mall and a grip of restaurants that matt didn't know existed. so we go and we get seated. jac and matt want steak and seafood and for some reason i'm craving lobster tail. so when we order we get fried calamari/mozzerrella cheese sticks appetizer and jac ordered new york cut steak and fried shrimp, matt got a center cut steak and fried shrimp and i got the ultimate seafood platter: fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, snowcrab legs, and lobster tail. man mine was good. i ate soo much of it too. all i left was like 1 snowcrab leg and the joint that housed the 5 of them on it. can you tell i was hungry? heheh
so after dinner we headed to usc. we got there around 9ish. we went to bed not long after. my back was killing me..oooowwwww..

saturday 2/22
we got up around 7-ish because the original plan was to meet for breakfast at 8am. around 745am beth and eileen's mom stopped by our room and dropped off jack in the box ultimate cheeseburgers and fries for our breakfast. it was good though. then we went back to sleep. around 10 the call us and tell us that we have to pack up and move out of our room because they are unable to rent our room another day. so we go to beth's room upstairs. we hang out there for awhile. so then around 1130 we go to breakfast at the diner in front of the motel. the food was ok..nothing to write home about. then we go back to the room. around 130pm beth takes jac to usc so she can be the patient for eileen. so i'm just hanging out in the room. around 230pm i go and find a gas station to fill up and check out the surrounding area. we were only a couple of blocks from the LA Coliseum.(sp?) so i kinda expected a nice surrounding..nope..if you have ever driven through san marcos on mission ave near all the little mexican shops..just that small strip..that's what the neighborhoods looked like. to me, san ysidro is in better condition than those neighborhood..that area was not just ghetto..but GhEtTo...heheh... so i went back to the motel and finished watching True Lies with some of the other patients. then around 6 eileen's mom and one of the patients went to get us food at Panda Express while beth went to get jac, daniel, jude and eileen from usc. so we ate then headed home around 7pm. while in san juan capistrano i noticed a white bmw next to me..as i looked at the plates i realized it was matt. he was heading down to his friends house. we followed him for awhile but then he took off..and when i was following him i was doing like 95mph. damn speed demon. so we got home around 9pm. felt nice to be home again. went to bed not long after carmen left after she finished working on taxes.
lolo was released.

sunday 2/23
we had to clean because the panan meeting was here. man..they had me move the big ass old school console tv out of the spare room to the garage. then move the black tv stand that joy and ron gave jac from the upstairs to the spare room. damn and my back was already hurting. sheesh. mellvin and mae were here. god she is sooo big already. she weighs 15 lbs and wears 12 months..so cute though. she loves to smile. marc and kristina, quinn and john came. so we were upstairs in my room playing catchphrase. it was marc, john and i against jac,kris and quinn. we tied 1 game each. it was funny. mellvin was on the computer during our games on playhousedisney.com. he wanted to make coloring sheets and stuff. marc and quinn were both on the computer real quick so they moved mellvin off the chair. the next thing i know mellvin is climbing from my bed to the chair and all over quinn just to get back to the computer. that was funny.

monday 2/24
finally got enough courage to look up my biopsyc test results..yayee i passed..got a C. there were only a couple of Bs, no As, and a grip of Fs.
took my stats midterm. seemed ok. only time will tell.
i went to petco in carmel mountain and bought more fish. hopefully this time they will survive. i got 2 small calico goldfish and another blue betta fish. so we'll see.
so marc, kris and i go to target to use up kris' giftcard. they tried looking at games and stuff to do at inang's house since there is no cable. the don't get cable til wednesday. we also were looking for a RF converter so they can connect kris' dvd player to inang's old tv that doesnt have any rca cables. so after that we went to frye's to check out decks and stuff for marc's car. then we came home cause mellany was coming over to pick up mellvin's medicine that she left from the panan meeting. around 7pm quan and i went to black angus to finally get my prime rib. yayee!!! so we ordered the prime rib for 2.. this had an appetizer platter : potato skins, buffalo wings & fried zucchini,quan got the soup and i got the salad, then our prime ribs with mashed potatos for me and potato wedges for quan, then topped off with a huge ass chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. damn that was a lot of food. and it cost us $48 bucks with the drinks...so that's not bad at all. definitely good food.

tuesday 2/25
took my child development midterm today. that was hard. hopefully i pass. that's all i'm going for right now. after the exam i told the professor that i hadn't been there for 2 weeks because of my vertigo and she told me that i wasn't the only person in class that suffered from it last week. scary huh?
went and got inang's calling cards. she asked me to take over for marc as lolo's care giver. marc needs to be taken off because of his VA loans. he can't make too much. so i agreed. inang asked that i give half of lolo's check to her so she can hire someone to come clean the house for them. which is fine with me. because of this extra money i'll be able to get off unemployment. yayee!!!

well today is wednesday. didn't go to school. woke up with a splitting headache. so so far all i've done today is write this blog. so i better get up and do other stuff.

well my weekend was interesting..

saturday was pretty long!!! i played chauffer to inang and lolo. inang tells me to pick her up after work so i can take her down to southside to get a perm..sounds easy enough right?!? that is very rhetorical. so anyhoo..i get off work a little late so i come home and take a shower and call her about 1015am to tell her i'm going to pick her up now..but she said no because her and lolo aren't even ready..fine..so she tells me to come get them at 1130am. ok fine..gives me a bit of time to chill. so i go and pick them up and we go to southside. so i stop the car to get out and she tells me to take lolo to quinn's house..knowing it's saturday and that's the day auntie usually goes to the commissary i ask inang if they know that we are coming over..and of course the answer is NO!!!! so i call the house and no one is home..ok, this is the one house that i don't have a key for..so i call quinn's cell and it turns out that she's with marc, kristina, and john and they are in north county..so i ask quinn to call her mom ..and when she did auntie was arriving home. so we get to the house and auntie azon and auntie linda were there waiting for us. luckily i talked to marc because it turned out that even though inang asked me on friday at 430pm to take her today..she asked marc last night to take her at 1pm..WTF!!!! anyhoo...so of course people are upset that she told marc and i different things and she didn't even bother to tell anyone that i was taking lolo to san ysidro. so the aunties went on their shopping and quinn hung out with me and lolo. we talked and watched her hamster benjamin run around the living room. he's soooo adorable..finally after hours of waiting for inang she finally calls and says she done. so i go pick her up and take her back to the house. we hang out with quinn and auntie azon eating sushi. i had ovaltine..i haven't had that in such a long time. so finally i take them home and it's already almost 5pm..sheesh. i've been up since 230am...so needless to say i was wiped out. came home and crashed til my mom and sis woke me up for dinner. i was sooo tired that i ate a few fries and 2 ribs from the chili's baby back ribs they bought. can you believe that? don't answer that. so that was that day.

sunday i went to the magic 92.5 old school valentine's concert with my mom and carmen. we saw bloodstone, the moments, the floaters, peaches and herb, heatwave and deniece williams. ironically i knew at least 1 or 2 songs that each performer sang and they each sang about 4 songs. so that's kinda cool. it lagged though. the concert started at almost 8pm and we ended leaving around 1115-ish and we left early. oh well..

monday i woke up with a gnarly headache. i don't know what caused it but if i lied on my right side my head would hurt even more. so i didn't end up going to school because i hurt so badly..and if you know me and headaches you know that i don't get them often but when i do it usually takes a lot to get rid of them. so that's not cool. i was chatting with joyce online and she told me that princess was taken to the hospital last night because she had abdominal pain. so i told joyce to keep me posted. around 215pm auntie chaning called to tell us that princess was being taken into surgery at 4pm. so mom, jac and i headed down there. so we hung out with auntie chaning and papa nick in the waiting room while princess was in surgery. while we were waiting i happened to look at one of the hallways and saw the princess was being wheeled through. so we followed her to her room. while they were changing her out sheena arrived. not long after shawn, loli, joyce and don don arrived. and while later my dad arrived. so we were all there. poor princess. cousin and i are gonna go visit her after work tomorrow.

so that's been the last couple of days for me..interesting don't you think?

that is a question often used in lyrics, poems and other forms of literature. but let me ask you this...have you ever loved someone so much that even though the fairytale dream has faded away you still invest your heart and soul to be with this person and to love this person. you know deep in your heart that there is no hope for that fairytale and yet you try and try to, in the mere hope, that it may still be achievable. have you ever been so deep in love with someone that you know you shouldn't be with and yet you still hang on and tell yourself that he'll come around? have you ever loved someone so intensely that you still dream that the fairytale will happen and he'll be your prince charming that sweeps you off your feet?

well i do..and i still reach for the strand of hope that one day he'll love me as much as i have loved him.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

well it's been awhile since i last blogged so here we go.

thursday 2/6
cousin, nikki, mom and i met for lunch at the sorrento food court. we ate hawaiian, it wasn't all that. my hibachi beef was spicy as hell though. after work ed and i went to cousin's work to take part in a strept test testing. we were testing the procedures of a strept test that acon labs are deriving. it was kinda cool and we got 10 bucks for it. it was cool to finally see where cousin works. i expected this huge building like gen-probe's but it was a small building in sorrento valley. it's all good though.

friday 2/7
cousin, rich, ronell, kevin, karen and i went to tgif for dinner. while we were waiting for our tables heidi from joe millionaire walked by. cousin recognized her and we went rich in to find out if it really was her. when he came back he said that everyone inside was talking about her so that confirmed it for us. so we get seated and lo and behold not long after heidi and her boyfriend joe were seated across from us. cousin really wanted to talk to her and let her know that the tv cameras did not do her justice, and that she was much prettier in person. so we were watching them looking at their menus and cousin kept saying that she wanted to go up to her but didn't want to disturb her. so first we were gonna wait til they were done ordering.. so then we noticed that we had the same waiter as them so when they came to take our order i told the waiter that the chick at the table was from joe millionaire and if he could please tell her that there are some customers that would like to approach her but we wanted to make sure it was ok with her first and that she is not obligated in any way to say yes..so the next time he went to their table he asked her and she said it would be ok. so he came and told us. so cousin and i got up and went over to their table. she introduced herself and her bf and cousin and i introduced ourselves. she really was pretty and she was cool. we ended up talking to her for about 10 minutes and she was totally sweet. i told her that i heard her interview on star100.7 and that it helped put some light on this whole dating reality thing. when i first saw the commercials for joe millionaire i couldn't understand why people would go on these dating/marriage shows..but she said that they didn't even know what was happening until they were already in france. and when we were talking to her she said that she found out about him not having money when we all did when the show started. so it helped put some insight into this whole thing. so that was cool. so then we went back to our table and ate. dude..ronell and kevin's sister karen is tall and skinny and the girl downed an entire slab of baby back ribs herself. sheesh..so i had fun that night. thanks again cousin for hangin out with me.

saturday 2/8
mom and i went to take in her wedding set to be sized and fixed. carl is gonna sauter the 2 rings together so they'll stop spinning around her finger and unaligning. and i dropped off my diamond for a good cleaning..yeah. i got my emerald and diamond ring back. i haven't worn it for soo long. it's all good. afterwards we went to nana and tata's house to visit. it turned out that nana had the flu.

kristina and i had a cool heart to heart. it was all good. glad that she can turn to me..hehe
kris, marc and i went to tgif for lunch. marc was clowning on kristina's head size all day. it was funny. it was one of those days that you just had to be there.

thursday 2/13
marc and i went to mall to check stuff out for kristina. of course he ended up shopping for himself..which i can't blame him. he wears a lot of structure and express clothing and the structure at north county fair is closing so it's entire stock is 80% off. a sweater that he bought normally would have been like 70 bucks but it only cost him like 10 bucks. but we got things for kristina and planned things out.

friday 2/14
well today is the dreaded vday. i slept most of the day. then ran some errands for myself and inang. then i met up with quan, han, grace, and boon and we all went to dinner at mimi's cafe. that was cool too.
my mom got me angel earrings and chocolate covered cherries..yum yum

well other than that not much hasn't really been going on. just school. damn i'm sure i failed my biopsych test on thursday. but oh well. well that's been my week in a half in a nut shell.

First and Foremost : REST IN PEACE TITO AUGUSTO

well today i got bad news then some good news. this morning marc told me that uncle mon's brother Augusto passed away last night in the philippines from cancer. at least he's not suffering anymore. then later in the day joy called and told me that até sheilah is gonna have a girl. that will go well with her 2 boys..heh

well it's been a long time since i've blogged. basically i've just been too tired to blog. i don't know what's happening to me but i'm soooooo tired.

after school went to the mall with jenn and kristina for a bit. they are funny. jenn wanted to get waterboy a bracelet and belt from abercrombie and fitch. after that i went to joy's and chilled with her. we went and ate at carl's jr. that guy was staring at her chest soooo intently. damn. after that we went to bubble tea to get boba. i'm so glad i'm in my late 20s instead of a school kid. this one chick was practically screaming about homosexuality and homosexuals. you would swear that she was homophobic. drove us nuts. while there joy and i got hooked on this puzzle toy called "shape by shape" basically you use these different shapes to form pictures/designs. so we went to el camino mall and found it and bought it. then we went home and played with it some more. ronnie even got hooked on it. damn he was kicking my ass in the game. that's because he's an engineer..heheh...anyhoo..

friday 1/31
ryan and i headed downtown to find stuff for her husband. she wanted to get him magazines to pass the time away while he's out on deployment. so we went to fashion valley and caught the trolley and headed downtown. she had never been on the trolley so it was new to her. so we walked around downtown looking for HUSTLER HOLLYWOOD. of course i couldnt' find it so i called cousin to look it up online and give me directions. it turned out we were only 2 blocks over from it. so we found it and went in. ok, mind you the only time i have ever gone into stores like that was when i was hosting joy's bachelorette party. so i didn't know what to expect..especially from larry flynt. so we walk in and it's cool in there. i mean the first floor is just regular type of clothing and some body frostings and candles and stuff. then the 2nd level is the lingerie. on the 3rd floor is all the toys and movies and such. that was interesting to say the least. saw things i couldn't even fathom...
after that we went to tgif on 5th ave. food was good. then we went home and i started my errands for inang.

well jac got mad that i didn't take her to hustler, so i took her, thi and lisa down there. my mom gave me money to get my dad and her shirts. that was kinda weird. after hustler we went to urban outfitters. interesting store as well.

sunday 2/2
jac and i took mellvin to toys r us. god he's getting bigger. he's gotten taller. so i took out the tape measure and started measuring him. he's 40 inches tall. his legs are 20 inches long. his torso area is 14 inches. i even measured his head. his head is 20 inches around..mine and jac's is 21 inches. i weighed him too. when i used to watch him last year he would weigh himself (even though he didn't know what he was doing) after he used the bathroom..he weighed 32 lbs..now he weighs 35lbs. but he still has his belly. he kinda looks like a slimmer version of his grandpa. my little boy is growing up ;(

and now it's wednesday the 5th of february. and not a lot has happened this week. well off to bed i go.
