A look into Jessica's life

well got my test back in human sexuality. i got a 43 out of 45..which is a 96%..so that's cool. rose got a B+..nothing else has been happening.

yesterday while i was going to class i ran into Jelly Bautista. this time she looked better than the last time i saw her. she actually looked like the old Jelly from high school. i really didn't talk to her other than saying hi, but the guy she was with asked her who her senior experience professor was so obviously she's a senior and in the business field, because the business field has to take a senior experience class. good for her.

the other day we went to inang's to eat dinner. lolo was sooooo bundled up. he had on sweats, tshirt, sweater, thick jean jacket and fricken gloves. and they were pretty thick...i think he was cold. they were playing a tape that was recorded the first time we went to the philippines in 1981 of lolo and his gang playing string instruments and singing songs. they played it a couple of days before and he started to cry because he started reminiscing of times with them and got sad. but this time he was singing and laughing and really getting into it. it was cool to watch. i'm suppose to try to burn it onto a cd so we can make copies and ensure that it survives time.

ok here's another mellvin odd story. jac was watching him today and when she went to work at 230pm i took over until auntie tita arrived to pick him up. jac had put him into a sports shorts set that we bought him that has a muscle shirt. auntie tita and i were commenting on how skinny he is. his arms are so boney. anyhoo i told him to show me his muscles by flexing and auntie tita was saying that he is soo skinny that he doesn't have any muscles. i'm not sure the exact conversation but it eventually turned to mellvin being asked if he was a girl. and he said, "YUP" shocked we asked again and again he answered yup. then we asked him if he was going to wear a dress and he said yes and "wear makeup and lipstick. i'm going to wear lipstick"..HELLLLOOOOO?????? we didn't do that...he goes into mine and jac's bathroom and constantly gets our clips and puts them in his hair and says that he is beautiful..makes you wonder about that Santos blood man...

well my weekend was very lethargic. i did absolutely nothing..which was not a good thing. i had my first exam in human sexuality today. the first half of class was lecture then we had the exam second half. i spent the first half studying and trying to cover the information that i missed on thursday by sleeping all day. there were some questions that i had no idea what so ever, but i think i did ok. i'm sure i at least passed. i'll find out later tomorrow afternoon. we'll see..

while in class rosabel's cell phone went off. it was her daughter Arianna. the stories i hear about that kid. she's 7 years old and yet she talks and seems to be just like her mother. here's a paraphrase of the message she left Rose. 'grandma put all my stuff on the table away and i can't find a single thing. (and this part i'm quoting) "What do you think about that mom? well i gotta go"' hello?!? what 7 year old talks and thinks in that manner..oh boy, rose is going to have her hands full when arianna becomes a teen..heheh

yesterday i was chatting with dana online and she sent me the web address for Rex Vargas and Michelle Conception's baby Raelle McKenna Vargas. Damn Michelle, these pictures were taken right after she gave birth and she still looked good. she didn't look all torn up like most women do after birth. i hope i can look like that when i start having kids. congrats to them and good for them for having a family.

well today is saturday. suppose to be a kick back day, nooo i ended up cleaning out my car so i can go get a car wash, hopefully this weekend, cleaning my fish tank, and cleaning the bathroom. oh joy of joys

well yesterday was interesting. while going to the movies to take mellvin to watch Lilo and Stitch i get a phone call from auntie marie asking me if i can pick up lolo from the hospital later on because he's been discharged but wants to stay a little longer so he can sleep...hello? he's been dying to get out of there since he went in a little over a month ago. but ok..anyhoo
so mellvin, jac and i go to mira mesa edwards to go watch the movie. it's sold out. so we go to Zany Brainy and look around and then Ross to find him a belt because the shorts we bought him were a bit big and when he walked he needed to hold his shorts up, oh well. so we go to mcdonalds so he can get a lilo and stitch happy meal. while we were there dad called and said that he would take lolo home so we didn't need to go to the hospital. so while we were at mcdonalds jac got a call that maila, one of her jamba coworkers, was in a car accident with her 2 year old. so we dropped jac off at home so she can go check on her and mellvin and i headed to town square in clairemont to watch lilo and stitch.
mellvin is odd, which i have said many times before. we are in the theatre watching the beginning of the movie. there is nothing really going on that requires any emotions of any kind. just simple animation like people walking or swimming or something, i don't remember, when mellvin breaks into an uncontrollable burst of laughter. and i can not stop him what so ever. i had to cover his mouth with my hand repeatedly just to stifle his laugh. and when i questioned why he was laughing he would just put more popcorn in his mouth. (mellany just told me that when he's excited he bursts out in laughter) odd i tell ya...when we first got to edwards i asked mellvin, " are you ready mr. mellvin?" and he replied "don't call me mr. mellvin just mellvin" ok, sorry there sir. jac and i just looked at eachother in disbelief. interesting laddy i tell ya.

then today inang asks me to take her to sav-on to get lolo some medicine. when i get there around 615-ish she asks me if there is still traffic outside. i asked her what traffic and she points at the clock to show me that it's 630pm..i told her that today is saturday and not a weekday and have homebound traffic...sheesh. so then we go to sav-on. while we are there she keeps telling me that she needs "nice and easy" throat lozenges. that confused the hell out of me because "nice and easy" is hair dye. so we walked down the cough/throat aisle and i just read labels until i came across "N' ICE" and asked her if it was that one, and sure enough it was. when i pointed out the difference in names it began to make sense to her why the last time she asked for help and told them "nice and easy" they took her to the hair dye aisle. oh boy.

today was interesting. in class we were discussing Gender Issues. This covered the spectrum from males to females and everything inbetween. needlesstosay we spent a long while on transsexual and transgendered. dr ashlyn was interjecting with experiences of when she went through her surgery and stuff associated with it. she told us stories about some of her friends that are transgendered and transsexual. was definitely an interesting class.

other than that i just slept the day away. still have to work tomorrow then school,then i better start studying for the test on monday.

well i started school on monday. who hoo..human sexuality with dr. ashlyn. this should be interesting since dr. ashlyn used to be a male and now is a female. i'm sure you can figure that out.

rosabel oliquiano is in my class. that's kinda cool. i haven't had a class with her since senior year of high school and we took HRC together. it also turns out that she'll be in my second session class too. we talked about her marathon run. she ran 26.5 miles in 6.5 hours. that is awesome for her first marathon. she is debating whether or not to take part in a marathon next year in europe.

today was the second day of school. we took a hell of a lot of notes today. we covered 2 full chapters. good lord.

met up with the theatre gang tonight for dinner at bennigan's in mission valley. it was good to see them. it was charlene, bootie, bootie's sister sarah, kelli, john cab, mel and bebeh. some of the conversations were so reminicent of the theatre days. the gossip of other employees, the intense conversations about general hospital btwn the girls, and the sex talks...i miss those days.

well off to slumber i go, gotta work AGAIN and have class...there is a possibility that lolo might get discharged tomorrow. that would be really awesome. i know both inang and lolo are tired of the hospital. well we'll see.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

we celebrated Mattie's graduation tonight. it is weird to think of Mattie as a graduate but it is true. one cool thing was that Lolo was able to celebrate with us. the doctors allowed him to be discharged for the day so he can celebrate father's day and mattie's graduation. so that was sweet. he spent the whole time just sitting in the chair inside the house watching tv and being indecisive about what to eat but he was there nonetheless.

auntie fe, uncle ted and gayle came with the sisons to the party. it was odd to see them, especially after finding out awhile back that auntie fe is basically in her final year of life from breast cancer. but she was really nice to me so maybe she's had a change of heart about me and jac, otherwise known as THE DEVIL CHILDREN. who knows.

got to see Dana, Darlene, Jasmine and Lamont, and Pat and Tricia. that was cool Tricia was carrying baby jasmine when EJ and Alden showed up so we made Pat stand by Tricia and Dana goes, "EJ you remember Pat, Tricia and their baby Jasmine?"..EJ totally freaked out..it was soooo funny, then we let him off the hook and told him that Jasmine wasn't theirs. he was soo flabbergasted..it was hilarious. i took a picture of Pat and Tricia holding and playing with Jasmine and we called it the FUTURE picture..heheheh

well tomorrow i begin summer school. how fun..who hoo..NOT!!! oh well.

CONGRATS MATTHEW AND THE CLASS OF 2002!!!!

YEAH LAKERS!! 3-PEAT!!!

well nothing much has happened over the week. i spent most of this week working, sleeping and watching little man mellvin..oh what an entertaining week i have had..such a splendid way to spend my last week of break before summer school. i got my grades for last semester. i got an A in sex roles, B in research methods, Cs in computer applications and multicultural perspective..i expected the the Cs, was totally shocked about the A in sex roles though..that's the class that i bitched about in a couple of earlier blogs.

well lolo is doing better. still in the hospital. last night after mattie's graduation we all met up at the hospital and had submarina and pancit and chips and sodas before matt rushed off to grad night. that was interesting. juni gave nicole a physical riddle to figure out and it became a challenge for me and jac as well. i figured it out first and had juni check it and he said it was correct. then not long after jac figured it out too. poor nikki couldn't figure it out and ended up taking the toothpicks home to figure it out. about an hour and half after they left i got a text message that she indeed figure it out..how funny..;)

today when mellvin and i took inang to the hospital to see lolo. when we got there his lunch was delivered. i was surprised to see that he no longer had puree food but instead actual solid food..they were just minced/chopped up. they started him on solids today. they said he has done a good job on the thickened liquids and pureed food so they gave him the chopped stuff. the speech therapist said that he's doing so well that they only have the feeding tube late at night while he sleeps. and when he shows that he can eat more and keep his calories up on food alone then they will end the feeding tube..she also said that we would be meeting with a doctor soon since they forsee his discharge being sometime next week..YEAH YEAH YEAH

well that's my life for the time being..who hoo how interesting..oh well it's my life

friday:
mellvin is such a retarded kid i tell ya...after the hospital i took mellvin to utc to see jac at work. i decided to replace the shoes i bought him sometime last year (ok, the kid is 3 yrs old...his feet grow and they were still having him wear shoes that i got him last year. they were size 8.5 and now he wears a 10..i can just imagine the discomfort he was feeling) with some New Balances..so we go into foot locker and check out the kid section..they didn't have alot to choose from but they had some New Balances and KSwiss to that were cool...needless to say Mellvin was excited about his new shoes..well when we got home he tried to take off his shoes..well ya know how we kick off our shoes but placing pressure on the back end of our shoes and sliding out our feet, well Mellvin has this thing that he puts pressure on the toe of his shoes and tries to slide his foot out..THAT DOESN'T WORK!!! he was scratching up his new shoes, which was making me crazy..what an odd kid..

saturday
today Suzanne got married. she was beautiful as always. you could see the happiness eminating from her and the love between Suzanne and Scott . that was cool to see. i got see Marilou and meet her husband Scott..go figure that one. I couldn't believe how much Beverly has grown..the last time I saw her was 8 years ago at Suzanne's 19th bday party and she was only in junior high then, now she's a 23 year old beautiful young lady. DAMN I'M OLD..got to see some old friends too. Kathleen Gragera is still as kooky as she was in junior high. Leah Herce--or should I say Leah Andino...i can't believe she's married and in Guam..what the hell is that. Richard Dye's daughter Madison is adorable. I'm happy for him. Jay Pennington looked really good too. He's changed alot since i last saw him. He's really grown up.

mom and jac said that my face showed my feelings of disappointment: here another one of my friends is getting married and i'm no where near that point. i'll get there eventually i'm sure. Suzanne's dad even asked me when was i getting married..hello??? what kind of question is that? i haven't seen him since our high school graduations when i went to see Suzanne and the gang graduate at Chula..that was almost 10 years ago..then as i was leaving the reception he kept telling me that i'm losing my bestfriend now that she's married..he was referring to Suzanne..no offense or anything and i love Suzanne to death but we have barely spoken or seen eachother in the last 11 years, and the last couple of years she's been able to attend either my bday parties or jac's cotillion, however we have barely had the chance to talk, and i barely said like 10 words to her this afternoon, but best friends ended not long after i moved north..

went to the hospital tonight. lolo was watching the Tyson-Lewis fight (scrambled) on tv with dad and auntie cora and uncle bobby. he was sooo excited. he was air jabbing and laughing and smiling..he had a kool-aid smile from cheek to cheek the whole time. he even knocked his tv controller right off the bed because he was jabbing soo much. that was cool. then he got out of bed and he walked with the walker to the big waiting room. he took off, he didn't even wait for any of us he just took off. he really wants to go home, and i don't blame him. i mean he's going on a month of being in the hospital. he just needs to work on swallowing and he'll go home. it would be nice if he came home this coming weekend since it's father's day and shtuff...but we'll have to see..

oh what a day...

well today i watched mellvin..that's alot in itself. we went and saw Spirit:Stallion of the Cimarron at Edwards Mira Mesa. that movie sucked..for me anyway..usually i like the movies i take mellvin to watch but this one just seemed pointless. mellvin was distracted almost the entire movie..he kept playing around and staring at the projector instead of the screen..stuff like that. when the movie ended he asked me if "is it the end?" and when i told him yes he said, " that was a great movie"...huh?!? what??? i guess...what an odd kid..after the movie we got some chicken nuggets but he was more interested in eating his ketchup instead of nuggets and fries. he started to get really tired so we went and took a nap..the boy slept for 3.5 hours..but in the course of his nap he went from being parallel with the bed to being perpedicular to the bed and me..if i had rolled over onto my back i would have smashed his head...heheh

went to the hospital tonight. we got lolo to get into a wheelchair and we took him into the waiting room/nurses lounge. he watched the padres lose again on the big screen tv..it was me, dad, jac, mellvin, auntie tita, auntie marie, uncle mon, uncle tony, uncle eman, lolo and inang...we were all throwing the ball with lolo and mellvin..or playing scrabble..lolo was laughing at jac and auntie marie trying to outwit eachother on words or lack of words as it may be..he was laughing at the padres...it was really good to see him that way...had he been in a rocking chair i would of thought we were at home..i mean he was in pj pants and a polo shirt instead of that damn hospital gown he's been wearing for the last couple of weeks..it helped give hope in my mind...ya know..

well hopefully i'll get some sleep tonight since i got absolutely none last night before work...and very little before little man mellvin arrived...so my main slumber was mellvin's nap this afternoon, mine wasn't the full 3.5 hours but relatively close...

boredom sucks!!!

YEAH GO LAKERS!!!
well what's up with me. let's see.. jac started to clean out her closet of all the old clothes that we have stuck in her closet. a letterman type jacket that brian gave me was in there...i decided to check the pockets and i came across a note Joy left me at the theatre not long after her return to san diego..i called her and we talked about and she told me that at least she made an attempt to get in contact with me and that i shouldn't make her feel sooo bad about the whole thing...NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!! i'm going to hold this over you til the day i die..heheh--on the note you said that you were going to try to call me, i guess you didn't make that much of an effort huh?!? ;p
last night i went to an alcohol run for jac and the gang for jason's after-prom bash...while we were driving up there was a couple walking towards vons..and i made the comment that the guy's head looked like Clark's..i haven't seen him since 94..so what are the chances that it was him, let alone with monalou...anyhoo as we walked up towards vons i had to get a basket so i jokingly told jac to see if it was there..sure enough it was..HELLO???...when i walked in i didn't even bother to look at them (they were at the atm) i just kept walking..jac said that monalou looked really torn up, as though she hadn't slept in over a year...clark still had the same hair cut as the last time i saw him..the thing is, that involves having the long bang hanging down their face..that hasn't been around for sometime now..jac said it was all weird..what were the chances that it was them?

today we went to the hospital to see lolo..i didn't spend much time in his room..it seems that he's completely given up on trying to get out of the hospital. i tell him he needs to walk in order to get out and he says that he'll walk when he gets out..i tell him that he should start actually going to the bathroom in the bathroom instead of having someone place a container on him and he says he's too weak...it's not that he's too weak..it's that he doesn't have te drive anymore..

watched the Lakers win the Western Finals...was a little shaky there near the end...but the Lakers finally got it in gear and won.

ok, time to go chill before bed since i work in the morning..
